Agent Profile

Casey Lange always had a love for real estate and homes, so she jumped at the opportunity to become a Realtor when it presented itself.

“I love real estate and always have and I wanted a career that would take me further in life,” said Lange, who had her own corporate gift consulting business for 22 years before joining Halstead Property Connecticut eight years ago. “My husband (Brian) and I were buying and selling real estate and I wanted to get into the business.”

Today, Lange said, she enjoys going to work every single day.

“I love meeting new clients, showing them houses and finding them homes,” she said. Lange — who primarily covers Darien but also works in New Canaan, Stamford and Norwalk — handles everything from new construction to first-time home buyers to waterfront properties. The latter is about 30 percent of her business.

“It’s really exciting,” Lange said of working with waterfront properties in Darien.

“You have to be really knowledgeable about flood zones, elevations and restrictions for buildings.”

Recently, she sold a beautiful home on Harbor Road.

“It has a pool and a dock and I called it the trifecta,” she said. “A waterfront pool and dock is unusual in a flood zones and those properties are desirable. It sold in about 10 months for $4.15 million.”

It does not matter, Lange said, who she is working with; everyone is treated the same.

“It’s a service business and the client always comes first and is always right.” she said. “I am highly professional because I owned a business for 22 years and I know how to run a business.”

Lange said she takes advantage of the many seminars put on by the firm’s staff.

“I do go to the training seminars,” she said. “If I can learn just one tidbit at the seminars, it’s always helpful. I am willing to invest my time in them.”

She also said it is helpful that Halstead has a New York City connection.

“I like the large marketing support system we have in New York,” Lange said. “It’s quite unique. We tend to be on the cutting edge of marketing ideas and proposals.”

In her spare time, Lange is on a competitive master crew team as a rower. She also has an interest in watercolors, which Lange calls “my therapy.”
